WBAM announces State men and women's teams, seeks public support

The Wheelchair Basketball Association Manipur (WBAM) has announced the State men and women's teams for the 8th National Wheelchair Basketball Championship to be held from October 5 to 13 under the aegis of the Wheelchair Basketball Federation of India.
The names of the players and officials were announced following a coaching camp conducted at Hao ground, Singjamei Chingamathak, said WBAM while seeking support and encouragement from all sections of the society.
As per WBAM, Chakpram Lokeshori of Singjamei Chingamathak (captain), Nahakpam Ratana Devi of Kumbi Ward No 3, Irengbam Ritu Chanu of Irengbam Makha Leikai, Mangte Jermiah Kom of Kakching Mantak, Thongbam Sangita Devi of Maklang Awang Leikai, Maimom Gunibala Devi of Haorang Khunou Warok (vice captain), Laishram Linda Devi of Khurai Ahongei Leikai and Anjira Lasker of Porompat Muslim are named in the women's team that will be led by Md Yunus Khan, L Bidyasagar and Senjam Kakanti as head coach, assistant coach and manager respectively.
In the meantime, Syed Faooque of Lilong Haoreibi Awang (captain), Md Aziz of Golapati Water Supply, Longjam Bidyasagar of Naorem Chaprou (vice captain), Oinam Dharmen of Kwakeithel Thiyam Leikai, Aslam Khan of Khabeisoi Sabal Leikai, Thounaojam Khelemba of Lilong Chajing, Pheiroijam Dennis Singh of Kongpal Kongkham Leikai, Md Riyaz of Hatta Golapati and Wangkhem Joysana Meitei of Lamlongei Awang Leikai were named in the men's team.
Md Yunus Khan is also leading the men's team as head coach along with Okendro Heisnam and Vimi as managers.
