One-day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Volleyball tournament held at Kamjong

IMPHAL, Sep 25
The District Administration of Kamjong district in co-ordination with Tangkhul Aze Katamnao Long (TAKL) organised one-day volleyball tournament under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan at Ramrei village with an intent to reach out and spread awareness on substance abuse across the district.
The event was held with the theme "Healthy Choices Brighter Tomorrow" and saw participation of 8 teams from surrounding villages under the jurisdiction of TAKL, said the District Information Officer of Kamjong district in a press release.
Speaking at the occasion, Yarchuiso Kashung, president, TAKL gave a brief introduction on the importance and significance of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, the release said.
A walkathon and a poster campaign were also held where around 200 youth took pledge that they will contribute in making the district free from drugs. They also appreciated the District Administration for initiating such a programme for youths, it added.
