Acts of terrorists and scoundrels... Says KTOV on attack at Meitei villages

IMPHAL, Sep 25 : The Kom Tribe Organisation Valley (KTOV) has taken serious note of some miscreants attacking Meetei villages from Litan Kom village on September 22 night.
Security forces carried out a massive search operation at Laimaton hill range and Litan Kom village after Kuki militants attacked Meitei villages of Langmeidong, Laimanai and Tejpur in Kakching district on September 22 night.
Without taking any name in particular, KTOV, in a statement, stated that the miscreants launching an attack from Litan village is to portray the innocent Kom people in the wrong light.
Attacking Meetei villages from the hill range above Litan Kom village on September 22 was an act of cowardice and an attempt to tarnish the image of the innocent Kom people, the Organisation said.
Saying that Koms are peace loving people who have their own culture and identity, KTOV added that a section of people, however, seemingly want Koms to be seen in the wrong light by the Meeteis.
They are scoundrels, the Organisation said, referring to the miscreants who attacked Meeteis from Litan Kom village.
Manipur has been burning for over 16 months and such an act of cowardice is a hindrance to the path of peace, KTOV said. Saying that miscreants attacking innocent civilians from a hideout is an act of terrorists, the Organisation appealed to all concerned not to repeat the barbarous act and tarnish the identity of Kom people.
