Red carpet rolled out for Chanchui Khayi

IMPHAL, Sep 25 : Chanchui Khayi (23), Manipur's Femina Miss India  2024, was accorded a warm welcome at Classic Grande at Chingmeirong today and given the best wishes by all.
The reception ceremony was organised by the Miss Spring Organising Committee, The Indigenous Foundation.
Chanchui, a Tangkhul woman from Tuinem Village in Ukhrul will represent Manipur in the grand finale of Femina Miss India which is scheduled to take  place at Mumbai on October 16.
A post-graduate in Performing Arts specializing in Drama and Theatre Arts, Chanchui is a multi-talented artist who has won accolades in singing, dancing, and acting, including the Sushma Swaraj Award for Distinguished Women Achievers in music and dance.
Chanchui’s impressive journey includes being crowned Miss Lily in 2019, winning the K-Pop India Contest 2020 in the Solo Singing Category, securing the first runner-up title at Miss North East India 2019, and being among the three winners of the 19th Sunsilk Mega Miss North East in 2023.
At the reception ceremony, Chanchui said that she is grateful for all the love and support being shown to her by the people.
Saying that she will not contest the beauty pageant as a Tangkhul woman  but as an indigenous Manipuri, she reiterated that seeing all the positive vibes has already uplifted her.
The young and dynamic woman also prayed for peace to return in Manipur.
Among others, advisor of AMUCO Ph Deban Sharma, DESAM general secretary Thoithoi and member of Tangkhul Shanao Long Imphal Athem Horam wished Chanchui to bring laurels to Manipur by winning the National beauty pageant.
Representatives of ANSAM  and other Organisations also attended the reception ceremony.
