AR averts major fire incident

IMPHAL, Sep 24 : Assam Rifles averted a major fire incident at Lamlongei, Mantripukhri today, said a statement issued by IGAR (South) It continued that a vigilant sentry on duty of Assam Rifles, Mantripukhri Garrison spotted a house opposite to Gate No. 1 of the garrison which had caught fire and immediately informed the Assam Rifles. The fire was doused before it spread to nearby houses and shops, the IGAR (S) added.
