KMZNN FC emerge Senapati district's 2nd Division Football League champions

Senapati, Sep 22: KMZNN FC emerged champions of the 2nd Division District Football League, 2024 that concluded on Saturday.
The closing ceremony was graced by W Ashe, Project Officer, RD & PR, DRDA Wing, Senapati as the special guest in the presence of different sports fans of the district. W Ashe is also an executive member of the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) and former president of the District Sports Association, Senapati.
Mention may be made that the 2nd Division District Football League began on September 11 last with strong participation 16 teams.
In the final, Katumlung FC and KMZNN FC were locked at 1-1 in the regulation time. Both teams could not be separated even after extra time and the game was eventually decided via a penalty shoot out where KMZNN FC emerged on top.
Chwansa Balang of the KMZNN FC was awarded the golden glove as Rooney of Fulloh FC and Rangaba of Katumlung FC were awarded golden boot and golden ball awards respectively.
Both the winners and runners up have been promoted to the first division tier.
