IMPHAL, Sep 22: The Meetei Leepun has appealed to the Manipuri Meitei Bangalore Association to abort its plan of holding a peace initiative programme in the next couple of days.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, Meetei Leepun Tengol Puba Kakching Yumlembam Pradipchandra  alleged that human rights activist Babloo Loitongbam  is the principal organiser of the proposed programme and it is aimed at giving undue advantage to the Kukis.
Accusing Babloo Loitongbam of aiding the Kuki militants, Pradipchandra asked all those people working together with Babloo to stay away from him.
Pradipchandra said Babloo had even claimed that no Churches can be seen in the Manipur valley in an interview by a National media.
Babloo also made false propaganda that the Manipur conflict was started by the Meiteis, he said.
A former people’s representative and his relatives have been helping Babloo outside Manipur in seeking foreign funds, Pradipchandra said.
He said that there is evidence of Kukis sponsoring a tour in Europe for the three Advocates who agreed to fight cases on behalf of Kukis and whose houses were later vandalised by aggrieved people.
Saying that some NGOs based at Imphal have been working to fund some Kuki NGOs, the Meetei Leepun functionary asked all concerned to stop all such activities.
He further asked all the associates of Babloo Loitongbam who have been allegedly helping Kukis, the former people’s representative, his relatives, the three Advocates and the particular NGOs to stop their activities immediately.
