JIRIBAM, Sep 21: Jiribam Higher Secondary School vice principal and former Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) coordinator at Jiri Public English High School Kh Indi Kumar has demanded payment of undischarged remuneration for the DElEd resource persons and coordinators in Jiribam.
He raised the demand during a press conference held at the residence of M Romeo Singh, former DElEd coordinator at Highway English School at Chandrapur today.
Addressing the media persons, Kh Indi Kumar shared that in 2017-19, the India Government launched a DElEd course across four centres in Jiribam, namely,  Jiribam Higher Secondary School, Borobekra Higher Secondary School, Highway English High School and Jiri Public English High School, where four DElEd coordinators imparted training.
Stating that it was a one-time training program launched under the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), he informed that 100 trainees were trained at each of the four centres in Jiribam district.
The coordinators allegedly bore the expenses incurred in conducting workshops, theory and practical classes and site visits during the program.
Unfortunately, the coordinators have not been updated on any DElEd related information till date, he expressed in frustration.
Thus, he has sought the attention of the relevant authority to address their grievances and disburse their unpaid remuneration/honorarium swiftly.
The press briefing was attended by Th Dharmendra, former DElEd coordinator, Borobekra Higher Secondary School; M Romeo, former DElEd coordinator, Highway English High School and Th Gagaring, former DElEd coordinator, Jiribam Higher Secondary School.
