Laughing Buddha
Naorem Banita
The Vishnu Bhagavathi,
The Bajrangbali in singing mode
The white marble Ganesha
The Brass Chhattisgarh tribal Ganesha
The two peacocks
All covered with dust and dirt
I need to wash them
Give them the much needed bath
Slashed water on them
Swish and swash
And pouring buckets on them
Cleanse the faces, the body, the platform
Then the water dripped to the ground
Where my fees pots r there
I cleaned them too
Then saw the old broken pieces of glass pushed behind the rack
Wonder oh .
How come it's still there
Despite so many 2/3 years
And telling the maid to throw it
I picked up the pieces
Cleaned the behind of the rack
Full of mud and dirt of yesteryears
Oh how my heart felt so light and nice
After the ritual of cleaning
Now I am at peace with me
Took a shower
Fresh and nice
My soul is now ready for the day
After the rituals of cleaning
Now I can sing a song of glory
Of praising my Ishwar
My Atma
My hurt mind of
Yesterday
Tired out by so many
Happening is yesterday.
Pray that today will not be like yesterday
And my soul
Need not do the cleaning
