Top honours for RIMS Dental College

IMPHAL, Sep 19 : Dental College, RIMS Imphal has been awarded first prize at the National level in the Nanhi Muskan (Little Smile) project.
The Nanhi Muskan project, held from 16th July to 31st August 2024, was spearheaded by the Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Dental College RIMS. Its mission was to empower and uplift underprivileged children through comprehensive healthcare programmes, including free dental screening and treatment, said a press release issued by RIMS Media Cell.
The initiative extended its services beyond dental care to include medicine, paediatrics, eye, and ENT check-ups.
In addition to healthcare services, the project distributed free medicines, AYUSH health kits, stationery, educational materials, and art and crafts supplies.
The award will be presented during the inauguration ceremony of an annual National conference in Bangalore, scheduled for 26th September 2024, it added.
