Trials for selecting MU teams scheduled

IMPHAL, Sep 19: The Department of Sports, Manipur University is conducting Direct Selection Trials at its premises for selection of MU teams for participation in the ensuing AIU's Inter University Tournament 2024-25.
Tournament and trial schedule:
Athletics: The trial for All India I/U Athletics (M&W) Tournament will be held at MU on November 5, 2024 (7 am).
The tournament is to be held at KISS Odisha.
Badminton: The trial for Badminton (M&W) will be held on November 7 (7 am). The tournament will be held at Bangaluru North University, Karnataka.
Boxing: The trial for Boxing (M&W) will be held on November 8 (7 am). The tournament will be held at Guru Kashi University, PB.
Cycling: The trial for Cycling (M&W) will be held on November 12 (7 am). The venue of the tournament has not been decided yet.
Fencing: The trial for Fencing (M&W) will be held on November 14(11 am). The tournament will be held at University of Jammu.
Hockey: The trial for Hockey (M&W) will be held on October 10 (11 am). The tournament will be held at Sambalpur University, Odisha.
Sepak-Takraw: The trial for Sepak Takraw (M&W) will be held on November 20 (11 am). The tournament will be held at Rayalseema University, Karnool, AP.
Taekwondo: The trial for Taekwondo (M&W) will be held on November 22 (11 am). The tournament will be held at Guru Nanak Dev University, PB.
Tennis: The trial for Tennis (M) will be held on November 25 (11 am). The tournament will be held at KISS Odisha.
Wushu: The trial for Wushu (M&W) will be held on November 25(11 am). The tournament will be held at Chandigarh University, PB.
All the Principals of colleges/institutions affiliated to the Manipur may nominate student-players to the office of Assistant Director of Sports, MU with necessary documents, latest by 2 days before the trial.
Documents to be submitted:
a) Forwarding letter of the HOD/Principal concerned
b) DOB certificate/HSLC (below 25 years of age as on 01-07-2024)
c) 10+2 Mark sheets/certificate
d) present reading certificate
e) Mark sheets/certificate for last examination appeared
f) Copy of PAN Card
g) 2 copies of latest Passport photo
h) Performance certificate of the game, if any.
