MYFA takes out bike rally in jubilation

JIRIBAM, Aug 30: Expressing gratitude to the Assam Government for designating Manipuri language as the Associate Official Language in four districts of Assam, the Manipuri Youths' Front of Assam (MYFA) took out a bike rally from MYFA Study Centre at Pailapool today.
The bike rally passed through Sribar, Ningthemkhun, Lakhipur, Sapormoina, Tolenkhun, Nungphouleikai, Lakhipur Khunou, Binnakandi, Singerband, Laikon, Labok, Kamranga and culminated at Joypur.
The rallyists conveyed their happiness at the welcome development and shouted slogans in support of the Assam Government while being escorted by a team of Lakhipur police.
Later, Th Brojen, president MYFA and S Herajit, chief advisor thanked the rally goers for their enthusiastic participation.
They also extended their gratitude to everyone who worked relentlessly to ensure that the Manipuri language was designated as an Associate Official language in four districts, including CSOs, Assam Cabinet Ministers, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Lakhipur MLA Kaushik Rai among others.
Mutum Reena Singh, Chairperson, MDC and Leisungbam Robindro, vice-chairman, Lakhipur Municipal Board also participated in today's bike rally.
