AAI inks MoU to nurture aviation professionals

IMPHAL, Aug 21 : The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with some institutions based in Imphal to nurture the next generation of aviation professionals under the Pradipti scheme today.
The MoU signing ceremony held at the conference hall of the Terminal Building of at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport was attended by leaders of some institutions based in Imphal viz IIIT, Manipur; Manipur University; Central Agricultural University, Imphal; NIT, Manipur;  MIT, Imphal NIELIT and Babina Group among others, said a statement issued by AAI.
Pradipti is a flagship initiative by AAI which seeks to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry experience.
The event commenced with the assembly of Airport executives and educators followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by dignitaries.
During the ceremony, Director of Bir Tikendrajit International Airport Chipemmi Keishing emphasised the pivotal role Pradipti scheme will play in equipping  students with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the aviation industry.
Rohit Joshi, Nodal Officer for Pradipti at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, provided an overview of the internship programme while explaining the procedure for educational  institutions to engage with AAI through the scheme (Pradipti).
