A statement issued by the CorCom publicity committee pointed out that all princely States including Manipur (Kangleipak) once again became independent as per Section 7(1)(b) of the Indian Independence Act (IIA), 1947.
Manipur (Kangleipak) became a sovereign independent State on August 14, 1947. With the enactment of the Manipur (Kangleipak) State Constitution Act, 1947, Manipur became the second Parliamentary democracy in Asia after the Philippines, it said.
However, the people’s right to self-determination was usurped by India after it annexed Manipur (Kangleipak) on October 15, 1949. Since then the people of Manipur (Kangleipak) have been fighting against the alleged colonial rule, CorCom said.
Establishment of cryptocracy is a fundamental part of any colonization process. Keeping the local leaders as puppets and concentrating all the political powers in the hands of the colonial masters is the basic characteristic of cryptocracy, it said.
The current crisis has made cryptocracy more comprehensible. When the State has been experiencing a very critical situation and more than 60,000 people have been living like refugees in their own homeland, the puppet Government is unable to do anything. On the other hand, the ‘Delhi bandits’ have been calling all the shots, it said.
Now everyone knows that the violent crisis in Manipur (Kangleipak) was engineered by the Government of India with an objective to suppress the Manipuri Nation for good. In pursuit of this objective, the Government of India installed a proxy Government and has been waging a proxy war, it alleged.
When all the people joined the decolonization process and fight the alleged colonial rule collectively to bring an end to all the conflicts, there will be neither divisions in the society nor communal conflicts, cryptocrats would become democrats, miscreants would become revolutionaries and ‘Delhi bandits’ will remain the only enemy of the people, it said.
The people of Manipur (Kangleipak) have no share in the joy of Indian independence. Unfurling the Indian National flag on the soil of Manipur only testifies the victory of Indian colonialism, it alleged.
While August 15 is the Independence Day of India, it signifies life under colonial rule in Manipur (Kangleipak), the CorCom asserted.
Saying that it would boycott the Independence Day as in the previous years, the CorCom has called total  shutdown in Manipur (Kangleipak) from 1 am to 6.30 pm on August 15.
However, essential services, medical, electricity, water supply, fire service, press and religious ceremonies would be exempted  from the shutdown, it added.
