TDAAA lauds discus thrower Alson on winning bronze at Inter State Athletics Nationals

Thoubal District Amateur Athletics Association lauded the achievement of Alson Oinam of Thoubal Athokpam Khunou who won a discus throw bronze medal at the National Inter State Senior Athletics Championship 2024 which was held from June 27 to 30 in Panchkula, Haryana.
Mention may be made that Alson won the bronze medal throwing 52.09 m at the National meet. He had also won Manipur a bronz medal at the 27th National Federation Senior Athletics Championship held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha in May last.
In a release, Thoubal District Amateur Athletics Association said that Alson had won Manipur a silver medal in the National U23 Athletics Championships which was held from October 20-22 last year in Chandigarh with a 53.56 m throw.
Alson also won a gold medal in the All India Inter Zonal Athletics Championship held last year besides securing Manipur University a silver medal at the All India Inter University Athletics Championships hosted in Chennai, Thoubal District Amateur Athletics Association said. Alson, the gold medallist at 4th Khelo India University Games-2023 hosted in Guwahati, is the son of Oinam Premkumar and Noyonsana, it added.
