FC Kumbi reach Kargil Vijay Diwas Football Tournament final

IMPHAL, Jul 23 : FC Kumbi made it to the final of the Kargil Vijay Diwas Football Tournament organised by the Indian Army at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary Ground.
FC Kumbi booked the final ticket of the four team knock-out tournament with a 4-0 rout of UYT, Thamnapokpi in the Group A opener this afternoon courtesy of Nimaichand's treble.
Nimaichand opened the scoring in the 28th minute to give FC Kumbi a 1-0 slender first half lead.
Nimaichand had his second in the 48th minute of the match before Hitler further extended the lead to 3-0 after 66 minutes. Nimaichand was at it again in the 67th minute to complete the 4-0 rout of UYT Thamnapokpi.
KNK, Keibul will play WPC, Wangoo in the other semi-final match tomorrow from 3 pm.
The final is slated for July 26.
