Thawai Mirel decries PM's silence

Thawai Mirel has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of failing to perceive the State of Manipur as a vital part of India.
Thawai Mirel made the allegation in response to the 14-month old Manipur crisis going unmentioned in the Prime Minister's latest Mann Ki Baat episode broadcast yesterday on All India Radio, as per a press release issued by Th Dara Singh, convenor, Thawai Mirel.
However, State MLAs and Cabinet Ministers continue to heap praises on the Prime Minister refusing to acknowledge his attitude towards the State, added the release.
"This clearly shows that State legislators do not listen to the Prime Minister's Mann Ki Baat broadcasts. Hence, Thawai Mirel will make arrangements to gift them a radio set each", the press release said.
It further maintained that the protracted Manipur conflict cannot be resolved until the Prime Minister learns to accept Manipur as a part of India.
