52nd Installation Ceremony of Rotary Club of Imphal held, awards distributed

Rotary Club of Imphal organised the 52nd Installation Ceremony of Board of Directors for Rotary Year 2024-25 at Rotary Bhavan, Mantripukhri on Sunday.
According to a release issued by Rotary Club of Imphal, the solemn function was graced by Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh, Minister Health & Family Welfare and DIPR, Manipur as the chief guest.
Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh released the annual souvenir ‘MANIPADMA’ and lauded the members of the club for their continued humanitarian services for upliftment of the community and needy persons.
He also emphasized on protecting the environment for the future and to keep a healthy life.  
During the programme, Saratchandra Phijam and Sanjay Das were installed as president and secretary of Rotary Club of Imphal for 2024-25 respectively along with a new Board of Directors.
Various vocational awards were also distributed namely Late Akham Ibochouba Memorial Award for “Meritorious Civil Constable of the year” (Sponsored by A Nilamani) to Khundrakpam Suresh Singh, Late Shripal Chand Jain Memorial Award for “Rotary Fireman of the year” (Sponsored by Pankaj Jain) to N Ibopishak Singh, Late M Ibobi Memorial Award for “Rotary Traffic Police of the Year” (Sponsored by Dr M Madhumangol Singh) to Seram Panganba Singh, Late Th Ibomcha Singh Memorial Award for “Rotary Nurse of the Year” (Sponsored by Ellendra Thoudam) to Sagolsem Minalini, AOI, Babina Speciality Hospital, Imphal, Late Shri Jhoomarmal Kashliwal Memorial Award for “Rotary Journalist of the Year” (Sponsored by Yogesh Jain) to Urikhimbam Indraraj of ISTV, Imphal and Rotarian Bijay Jain Memorial Award for “Rotary Sports person of the Year” to Naorem Roshibina Devi (Wushu).
Also, the Late Sagolsem Indramani Memorial Rotary Scholarship (Sponsored by Ann S Snehprabha Devi w/o S Nilamani Singh) was given to two children of Orphan Home, Dewlahland; Late Sagolsem Juge Memorial Rotary Scholarship (Sponsored by S Jiten Singh) was handed over to four children of Government Ideal Blind School, Takyelpat; Late Sinam Tomchou Singh Memorial Distribution of Hearing Aids (Sponsored by Dr H Priyoshakhi Devi) was given to four needy persons; Late Shri Om Prakash Gulati Memorial Wheelchair (Sponsored by Kewal Gulati) to Khundongbam Leimarembi Devi of Heirok and First Late Rukmani Devi Bagri Memorial Wheelchair (Sponsored by MK Maheshwari) was given to Sapam Chandramani Mangang of Samurou.
Later, the new Board of Directors was administered oath by the Installation Officer, Ellendra Thoudam. Two new members Dr Ak Ibohal and Dolendro Singh were also inducted as new members of the club.
Moreover, Rotary Club of Imphal also observed ‘National Doctors’ Day’ by organising a free health camp at DM College of Teacher Education, Imphal in association with RIMS, Imphal on Monday.
The health camp benefitting about 214 individuals.
The club also presented simple gifts to all participating doctors from RIMS, Imphal and Rotarian doctors as a mark of respect to all doctors on National Doctor’s Day.
