IMPHAL, Jun 11: Kwakeithel Apunba Meira Paibi Lup and Singjamei Apunba Meira Paibi Lup have categorically stated that the Government of Manipur is nothing better than a puppet.
Speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club this afternoon, Kwakeithel Apunba Meira Paibi Lup president Soubam Sobita questioned what the Chief Minister and the Security Advisor have been doing in the face of the widespread violence unleashed by Kuki militants at Jiribam.
It appears that the Security Advisor is not impartial. Had he discharged his duties responsibly, the violence at Jiribam could have been averted, Sobita said.
She also urged Chief Minister N Biren to step down from his post if he is not in a position to protect people’s lives and properties.
