Narad Award conferred on TSE Editor

IMPHAL, Jun 11 : Khogendra Khomdram, Editor of Sangai Express (Manipuri Edition), has been awarded the Devarshi Narad Journalist Award, 2024 by the Vishwa Samvad Kendra, Manipur on Devarshi Narad Jayanti today.
The award was conferred on him by Sunil Mohanti, Pramukh of Assam Kshetra Prachar during a  function held at Bal Vidya Mandir's Sudarshan Hall at Konung Mamang, Imphal.
Vishwa Samwad Kendra Manipur president Aribam Brajakumar Sharma and Dhanamanjuri University's former Vice Chancellor Naorem Rajmuhon attended the event as dignitaries. Sunil Mohanti spoke about the Devarshi Narad Jayanti and Hindu philosophy surrounding Narada, and said the award was instituted to highlight the importance of journalism in shaping society.
He spoke about how Narada was a skilful mediator and a messenger, and said journalists should strive for good reporting, disseminate valuable information to the public and play its part in bringing about positive changes and shaping society.
Khogendra Khomdram spoke about his experience as a journalist in Manipuri society and changes that have taken place in the field.
