Nishikant gifts community halls, club building

IMPHAL, Jun 9 : Keishamthong AC MLA Nishikant Singh Sapam inaugurated one club building and two community halls in the Constituency today.
The club building of Keishampat Thiyam Leikai Development Committee, community halls of Social Welfare Club at Nganapithong and at Haobam Marak Ngangom Leikai were constructed from the Local Area Development Fund (LADF).
At the inauguration ceremony, Nishikant said that LADF is for the people and as such it must be utilised for the well-being of the people.
Saying that he still sticks to  his promise to not misuse even a penny, the MLA added that some people, however, see his stand on corruption and accountability as taking a high moral ground. "I also often tell my children to never indulge in corrupt or fraudulent activities and such is my stand against corruption," he added.
