Damage reports pour in

IMPHAL, May 8 : The DC Office Imphal West received a total of 15,749 damage report applications until 5 pm of May 7 following the destruction caused by the downpour and hailstorm on May 5.
A notification issued by Imphal West Deputy Commissioner, Th Kirankumar has informed that physical verification of each and every application will take place and based on the verification, the amount of relief will be decided as per the rules. The Imphal West DC stated that the list of affected persons will not be considered as the list of bene- ficiaries. Instead, the revenue circle-wise list of affected heads of the family has been notified as the "Draft list of affected persons due to heavy rain accompanied with hailstorm on May 5, 2024".
In addition, any claims or objections (for left out cases, duplicity etc) should be filed to the Sub Divisional Officers/Sub Deputy Collectors by 4 pm of May 10, said the notification.
As per the notification, the DC Office Imphal West received 1715 damage report applications from Central I and 998 from Central II revenue circle under Lamphel sub-division.
From Wangoi sub-division, the Office received 2758 applications from Hiyangthang; 2680 from Lilong Chajing; 653 from Mayang Imphal and 900 from Wangoi revenue circle.
In addition, Konthoujam and Patsoi revenue circles under Patsoi sub-division submitted 3241 and 781 applications respectively.
Lastly, from Lamsang sub-division, the DC Office Imphal West received 94 damage report applications from Sekmai; 352 from Lamsang and 1577 from Salam revenue circle.
