SOREPA claims responsibility

IMPHAL, May 22 : The Socialist Revolutionary Party (SOREPA), Kangleipak has said that it was them who shot a man in the leg at Hiyanglam Hiramei in Kakching district yesterday.
The person has been identified as Keisham Hemanta alias Rony (42) of Ingourok Makha Leikai and he is a second lieutenant at the outfit, as per a press note issued by SOREPA.
The outfit said that Rony was  punished for extorting money for personal use, abusing drugs and for trying to misguide his juniors. SOREPA also warned that stringent punishment will be given to those who use the name of the outfit for personal benefits.
