World Telecommunication & Information Society Day held

IMPHAL, May 17 : The Institution of Engineers (India), Manipur State Centre observed World Telecommunication and Information Society Day 2024 on the theme, "Digital innovation for Sustainable Development" at the Seminar Hall of State Centre in Government Polytechnic Campus, Takyel, today.
The observation was graced by Prof Dr Nameirakpam Basanta Singh, FIE, Principal, Manipur Institute of Technology (MIT) Imphal and chairman of the State Centre, Er Loktongbam Swamikanta Singh, FIE as presidium members, said a release issued by IEI Manipur State Centre.
Dr Nongmeikapam Kishorjit Singh, HoD & Assistant Professor (CSE), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Manipur also attended the event as the theme speaker.
Er Huirem Bharat Meitei, AMIE, joint honorary secretary, IEI Manipur State Centre delivered the welcome address while the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Thokchom Subhaschandra Singh, MIE, honorary secretary, IEI Manipur State Centre.
The programme was hosted by Er Huirem Bharat Meitei, AMIE, joint honorary secretary, IEI Manipur State Centre. IEI Manipur State Centre Committee members, corporate members of IEI, special invitee, faculty members from MTU, MIT and students also attended the event.
