IMPHAL, May 16: Transborder Indigenous People (TIP) has asserted today that it will oppose the scrapping of the Free Movement Regime (FMR) and border fencing in Naga areas, reports NNN.
TIP is an organisation of the cross border Naga community. It comprises Nagas living in Myanmar and India.
According to TIP, the aim of the organisation is to strengthen the ties of the Naga people who live along the international boundary.
Meanwhile, TIP in its meeting in Ukhrul today deliberated “whatever is democratically possible to pressure both the Governments of India and Myanmar not to divide the Naga family.”
Seth Shatsang and Leiyolan Vashum are co-ordinators of TIP.
