World Earth Day on April 22

IMPHAL, Apr 20: The Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Manipur, will observe the World Earth Day on April 22, 2024 at its premises under the theme, "Earth and Plastics". The State Level function will be graced by Prof N Rajmuhon Singh, Vice Chancellor, Dhanamanjuri University; M Joy Singh, Commissioner, MAHUD/ IPR/ Art & Culture and Dr T Brajakumar Singh, Director, Directorate of Environment & Climate Change as presidium members, said a release.
Distribution of Plastic Bottle Banks to Higher Educational Institutions, presentation of mementoes and release of Environment Educational Materials will be the other highlights of the event.
