Skill development & livelihood training held

With an aim to provide livelihood for the internally displaced people, Manipur Seva Samiti in association with Seva Bharati Manipur and Humanism Foundation conducted a skill development & livelihood training at the relief camp opened in Mangolnganbi College, Ningthoukhong on Friday.
According to a release issued by Vishwa Samvad Kendra, Manipur, the programme was attended by senior functionary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Manipur Pranta, Laishram Jatra Singh; Bishnupur District functionaries of RSS Manipur Pranta, Thokchom Ningthem Singh (Zilla Pracharak), Nameirakpam Somorjit Singh (Zilla Seva Pramukh); officials of Loushang Farmers Producer Company Limited, K Bunbun Singh, Nameirakpam Somorjit Singh and Managing Trustee of Humanism Foundation, Dr Wahengbam Rorrkychand Singh among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Laishram Jatra Singh said that life is a journey filled with both highs & lows.
He urged all to draw upon their inner strength and persevere during challenging times.
"One needs to possess both determination and confidence to become a successful entrepreneur. Today’s training is aimed at providing the fundamentals of becoming an agri-entrepreneur with minimal investment", he added.
Ningombam Chingkhamba, a successful mushroom grower, who attended the training as a special invitee said that Mushroom cultivation is one of the best options to earn livelihood.
"Regardless of one's educational background and social status, anyone can become a successful mushroom grower", he added.
Resource person of the training, Hijam Thoiba Singh, CEO of Loushang Farmers Producer Company Limited, shared insights into the art of mushroom cultivation and the keys to becoming a successful grower.
