KAKCHING, Mar 13: State Bank of India (SBI) Kakching Branch as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) handed over one sewing machine each to three relief camps in Kakching district.
Speaking in connection with the CSR initiative, SBI Kakching Branch Chief Manager Rupachandra Thoudam said that the sewing machines have been presented to the relief camps with the sole objective of helping the displaced people taking refuge at these relief camps generate a regular source of income amid these tough times.
A team of SBI Kakching Branch led by the Chief Manager along with Chief Associate Ningthoujam Budhachandra and staff Mayanglambam Open and Naorem Tiken visited the relief camps opened at the Old Age Home, Kakching Wairi Panjao Pallum; Kha Manipur College Kakching Relief Camp and Kakching Wairi Kongoi Relief Camp and handed over the sewing machines.
Speaking at the occasion, Ningthoujam Budhachandra appealed to the displaced people to contact SBI Kakching Branch in case of loss of bank passbooks and other relevant documents of accounts opened at SBI during the course of the ethnic conflict to address the concern accordingly.
