Held with heroin

IMPHAL, Feb 23 : A 24-year-old youth has been arrested along with suspected heroin at Kwakta Ward No 8 today, said police.
The arrested youth has been identified as Md Toncha alias Nezimmudin, son of Md Kayamudin of Kwakta Ward No 8.
He was riding a Honda Activa when personnel of Kumaon Regiment and Phougakchao Ikhai police station stopped him for frisking and checking near Qutub Wali Masjid along Gothol road at Kwakta Ward No 8 at around 3.30 pm today.
Md Toncha was coming from Pholjang village towards Kwakta Bazar.
On checking the inside of the tool box of the Honda Activa, security personnel found one transparent plastic packet containing 10 soap cases containing a reddish powder, suspected to be heroin powder.
Police seized the suspected heroin and arrested him. A case has been registered for further investi- gation, said the police.
