Cabinet decides to hand over Kamalbabu's case to CBI

IMPHAL, Dec 28 : The Cabinet has resolved to hand over the case pertaining to the disappearance of Laishram Kamalbabu from inside Leimakhong Army base on November 25 to CBI.
Kamalbabu (56), s/o (L) Laishram Kumardhon of Cachar Goshaipur was staying at his brother's place at Loitang Khunou at the time of his disappearance.
Other agendas were also discussed and approved during the Cabinet meeting today include allotment of land in favour of the Director (Transport) to set up MST bus terminus at Moreh and to transfer 0.32 acres out of the land of IIIT Manipur Boys Hostel at Mantripukhri to Manipur Police Department to construct the new Manipur Police Headquarters complex.
The Cabinet also agreed to extend financial relief assistance of Rs 30,000 to the family members of deceased displaced persons for conducting the last rites/funeral.
Apart from others, the Cabinet also approved the Manipur Vehicle Scrapping Policy, 2024 and VGF Scheme for flight (Air Alliance).
