YWC-L ease to second victory in Veteran Cricket Tournament

IMPHAL, Dec 26 : YWC, Langthabal (YWC-L) crushed YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel by 94 runs for the second Group B victory in the ongoing 21st Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament.
Put in to bat first, YWC-L amassed 182 runs for all wickets down in 30 overs and defended their total by bowling out YUCC for 88 runs in 22.4 overs riding on Tejkumar's fifer (5/7 in 6 overs).
Dinachandra (2/1) and Prakashmani (2/15) also shared four wickets for YWC as Manikumar 32 and Doren 22 led the scoring for YUCC.
Earlier, Prakashmani had added an unbeaten 87 off 91 balls and Dinachandra added 41 to guide YWC-L to 182.
For YUCC, Nishikanta returned with the best bowling figures of 3/34 as Raju (2/37) and Noushad (2/26) shared four wickets.
Prakashmani who shone with both the bat and ball was named player of the match.
SNC, Sangaiprou will play BKCC, Bamon Kampu in the next Group A match of the tournament tomorrow. The match starts at 10 am.
