IMPHAL, Dec 24 : Khwairakpam Shinoj picked four wickets to help NCA, Ningthoukhong thump SSU, Singjamei Kakwa by 7 wickets for the fifth win in 6 Group B matches of the ongoing 4th MNCA Plate Tournament 2024-25.
SSU were bundled out for 131 runs in 31.2 overs at Khangabok Cherapur Public ground after they elected to bat first as Kh Shinoj (4/26 in 6 overs) and RK Amarjeet (2/32) shared 6 wickets to set up the collapse.
NCA then cruise to winning 132/3 in 21.5 overs thanks to T Pradeep 31, Y Bobby 30, K Roshan 28 and RK Rojeeson 22 not out.
For SSU, Th Rohit and Bollanath added identical 17 runs as N Sanjoy added 15, Robertson added 14 and Sh Deepankar added 13 runs. L Sadananda, A Robinhood and K Roshan of NCA also picked a wicket apiece.
N Sanjoy and Sh Deepankar picked a wicket apiece for SSU.
Shinoj was eventually named player of the match.
Elsewhere in a Group A match staged at Lairenjam Public Ground, SHADOW, Thangmeiband chased down a target of 95 runs in 20.2 overs with two wickets left to spare after dismissing toss winners RRCC for 94 runs.
Loyumba picked four (4/19 in 6 overs) and Md Aziz (2/17) and Jo tinkumar (2/19) shared four wickets to dismantle RRCC line up today before contributions from Kh Devis 21, Y Bharatngamba 14 and S Telheiba 13 and 26 extras conceded by RRCC bowlers set up the victory.
Md Irfan 18 and Bineto 14 led the scoring for RRCC earlier before L Elan (3/14) and L Pravin Kumar (3/26) shared 6 wickets in a lost cause.
Loyumba was eventually declared player of the match.
