IMPHAL, Dec 24: RPF’s Minority Affairs Secretary Y Shyam has conveyed best wishes to all the people of Manipur on the occasion of Merry Christmas.
The principal message of Lord Jesus Christ is peace and harmonious coexistence on the planet, said a press release issued by the outfit’s Assistant Secretary Publicity Bangkim.
But these days there is neither peace nor love among people. Violence and killings have become quite ubiquitous across the planet, it said.
With several Nations/communities seeking dominance or supremacy over other Nations/communities, the world is now filled with cries of agony and suffering, it said.
In Manipur too, tens of thousands of people have been displaced from their homes. With the people killing each other, the atmosphere has been filled with cries of agony, mourning and separation, Y Shyam lamented.
It’s time for all the communities to recall the bond of fraternity they shared since many years back and reconcile with each other, he said.
He also pointed out that Lord Jesus sacrificed His life on the Cross to save mankind from sins and show them the right path.
It is Lord Jesus Christ’s wish for all the communities to forgive each other and live together in harmony once again, he added.
