National Reconsolidation Month observed

IMPHAL, Dec 24 : Different civil society organisations observed National Reconsolidation Month in Cachar, Assam today by holding rituals at Leng Ondabi Pat, a lake.
The National Reconsolidation Month which is being organised by United People's Front (UPF), Manipur under the theme "Eikhoi Amuk Hanna Khuntaklaroi" which roughly translates as We will never desert our villages again.
Started on December 22, the programme will continue till January 9, 2025.
At the event, United Committee Manipur (UCM) president YK Dhiren said that they came to Cachar to show their reverence to Meetei ancestors.
Saying that the closing function of National Reconsolidation Month will be held at the resting place of Maharaj Gambhir Singh and Maharaj Nara Singh at Langthabal on January 9 by convening a public meeting, Dhiren thanked the Meeteis in Assam who helped them during their visit.
Representatives of All Assam Manipuri Meira Paibi Apunba Lup, All Manipuri Assam Students' Union, Leng Ondabi Pat Protection and Preservation Committee, Cachar, Awa Pali Khubam Kanba Lup, Manipuri Youth Front of Assam, UPF and UCM attended the programme.
