Evidence sought for Jiri carnage

JIRIBAM, Dec 23 : With regard to the attack on a CRPF post located at Jakuradhor Karong and Borobekra police station on November 11 by armed militants, the Additional District Magistrate of Jiribam district has notified anyone willing to give oral evidence or produce any materials/documents before the Enquiry Officer to submit their particulars in plain paper on or before January 10, 2025.
As per the notification, the details should include i) full name along with the name of father and mother (in block letters), ii) full address where the person will be available if the notice is to be served, iii) age, iv) occupation, v) contact details and vi) circumstance prompting the person to give evidence.
The details should be submitted to the office of the ADC, Jiribam during office hours.
It may be noted that the Manipur Government had ordered ADC, Jiribam to conduct a magisterial inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the November 11 attack, as per an order issued by the Home Department on November 25.
Notably, the enquiry will be conducted at the Court Room of ADC, Jiribam.
