Arms recovered

IMPHAL, Dec 20 : More arms and ammunition were recovered in the last 48 hours, said the Police Control Room (PCR).
In a bulletin issued yesterday, the control room said that one single barrel gun, one 9mm pistol with magazine, one .32 pistol with magazine, two rounds of 9mm ammunition, four pompi guns with one trigger and and one camouflage t-shirt were recovered from Wakan hill range in Imphal East.
It continued that one .303 rifle with one empty magazine and one 9mm pistol (country made) with one empty magazine were also recovered from Maukot village in Churachandpur. Security forces arrested two individuals from Lamzang village in Churachandpur namely Jangneu Haokip (33) and Lilin Haokip (42) along with one 9mm carbine machine gun with one magazine, one pistol with a magazine, 123 rounds of live ammunition, one four wheeler and two handsets, it said and added that one KCP (PWG) cadres involved in extortion activities was arrested from North AOC with one pistol and a magazine yesterday.
