Superplate Tournament YWC-L trounce Al-Ameen by 9 wickets for fourth win on trot

IMPHAL, Dec  21 : YWC, Langthabal (YWC-L) went on top of the Group B table in the ongoing 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament 2024-25 as they crushed Al-Ameen, Lilong by 9 wickets at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College Ground.
Al-Ameen opted to bat first but slumped to 88 all out in 28.4 overs as they could not withstand the disciplined bowling efforts from Maibam Subash (3/10), Yumnam Athouba (2/21), Yumnam Chingkhei Nganba (2/15) and Pukhrambam Prashantamani (2/17).
Khullakpam Shahadat Ali 22, FM Sakil Ahamed 17 not out and Md Shamir Khan 16 were the leading run getters for the Lilong side before Seram Robinson scored an unbeaten 57 to guide YWC-L to winning 92/1 in 19.3 overs.
Earlier, Robinson and Jiko Sorokhaibam 20 produced a 62-run first wicket partnership before Nepram Herojit 10 not out joined the scoring spree and finished off the game with ease.
M Subash of YWC-L was declared player of the match.
Elsewhere at Moijing Public Ground, CDCC, Sagolband Salam Leikai registered their third win in four Group A games by defeating PCC, Mayaikoibi by 2 wickets.
Longjam Ronald 54 and Takhelmayum Vikash 52 not out struck half centuries as Charoibam Tyson and Longjam Gibson scored identical 36 to help PCC, who were asked to bat first, post 197/4 in 27 overs.
CDCC however fought their way to winning 201/8 in 26 overs riding on Md Ataur Rahman's 50-ball 50 and contributions from Gold 38 not out, Mutum Jodiba 33, K Monish 24 and S Viking 24.
For CDCC, M Surjit, M Jodiba, Fm Sharif and K Monish picked a wicket apiece as Naorem Johnson picked two (2/51) and four others claimed a wicket apiece for PCC.
M Jodiba who picked a wicket and added 33 runs was adjudged player of the match.
