NCA, THAU triumph in 9th MNCA Plate Tournament

IMPHAL, Dec  21 : NCA, Ningthoukhong and THAU, Thangmeiband emerged victorious in today's matches of the ongoing 9th MNCA Plate Tournament.
At Lairenjam Public Ground, NCA thumped OSCAR, Paona Bazar by 3 wickets for the fourth win in five matches and to go atop Group B table.
NCA opted to field first and restricted OSCAR to 146/9 in the allotted 30 overs thanks to Amarjit RK (3/14 in 6 overs) and Angom Robinhood (2/33 in 6 overs) before chasing down the target in 26.5 overs thanks to RK Rojeeson 43, RK Amarjit 23, Y Bobby 22 and K Roshan 21.
For OSCAR, L Robinson 32 and Ratan 20 not out led the scoring before Sorokhaibam Samson (3/34) and N Zenith (2/41) shared five wickets in a lost cause.
RK Amarjeet was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, THAU beat RRCC, Churachandpur by 33 runs for the second win in five matches.
Electing to bat first, THAU gathered 179 runs for all wickets down in 26.4 overs but managed to withhold RRCC for 146/7 in 27 overs thanks to Kh Romesh (3/34) and Irengbam Sanjeev (3/24).
P Hilbert 33, Th Yohenba, 43, H Diamond 32 and Sanjeev 21 were the main run getters for THAU in their innings that saw L Pravin (5/29) and Sanasam Ruby (4/33) sharing 9 wickets. For RRCC, M Rameshwor 44, L Elan 37 not out and L Pravin Kumar 28 were the main run getters.
I Sanjeev was adjudged player of the match.
