IMPHAL, 21 : The Coordination Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has urged both the Centre and the State Government to initiate a military crackdown against Chin-Kuki narco terrorists, drive out illegal immigrants from the soil of Manipur and withdraw AFSPA from valley districts.
In a statement, COCOMI said that Chin-Kuki narco terrorists have been attacking Meeteis to carry forward their movement to disintegrate Manipur since May 3 last year while the Centre uses Kuki groups under Suspension of Operation (SoO) pact to launch a proxy war against the Meeteis.
A leader of KNF-P called Tiger publicly said in a function that Kuki people attacked and killed Meeteis at Kangchup and Leimakhong under his command, COCOMI said and added that a video clipping of his (Tiger) speech was shared on social media.
Expressing suspicion that Laishram Kamalbabu who mysteriously disappeared from Leimakhong Army base on November 25 might also have been killed  in collusion between the Central force and Kuki militant groups under SoO pact, COCOMI maintained that Kuki militants which have signed a cessation of hostility pact with the Government have been carrying out terror activities all these times by killing Meetei civilians, burning houses and blocking National Highways.
The Centre and the State Government should no longer remain silent and start a military crackdown on Kuki militant groups as the commander of a SoO group has exposed that Kuki militants attacked Meetei villages under his command.
The police should also send a show cause notice to  Kuki militant groups under SoO pact and lodge a case against them, COCOMI demanded.
Further demanding that the Centre and the Manipur Government should wipe out Chin-Kuki narco terrorists, update NRC in Manipur and drive out the  illegal immigrants, withdraw AFSPA from valley districts where the legislation was reimposed and open the two National Highways, COCOMI asked the Government of India to stop its proxy war immediately.
People may run out of patience if the Centre and the State Government continue to work against the interest of the people, COCOMI cautioned.
