Arms recovered

IMPHAL, Nov 8 : A combined team of Central and State security forces seized a variety of arms and ammunition from Laimanai Laimaton Ching area in Kakching today.
The operation was jointly carried out by Kakching commandos, Waikhong police and BSF (E-Coy 8 Bn).
It is reported that the seized items were found concealed in a plastic bag at a secluded area of Laimanai Laimaton Ching.
The seized items include one tear gas gun, one country made 9mm pistol with magazine, two Carbine magazines one .36 hand grenade, one detonator, three live rounds of 9mm ammunition, two live rounds of M-16 Rifle, one empty cartridge of .303 Rifle, two empty cartridges of AK-Rifle, eight tear smoke shells, one Baofeng handset with charger, one helmet, a pair of hand gloves, one military belt, one magazine pouch etc.
A case has been taken up at Waikhong police station.
