Kshetri Tama to take part in COP 29 at Azerbaijan

IMPHAL, Nov 9: Former Imphal East Up-Adhyaksha Kshetri Tama left Imphal for Azerbaijan today to join the UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC) COP 29 scheduled to be held from November 11-22 at Baku Olympic Stadium, Azerbaijan.
Several civil society organisations, Non-Government Organisations, NGOs, students, women leaders and stake holder from 200 countries are set to participate in the event. This year's event is based on the theme "In solidarity for a green world" and will witness the Global Action day on November 15 as part of the event.
At the event, the Asian People's Movement Debt and Development will present action show on the theme "without climate change there is no human rights", "tax the rich not the poor", "protect the planet and strengthen the 13 goals of SDG."
Kshetri Tama said, the COP 29 conference is one of the most powerful conference which can take any resolution related to climate change.
Tama further urged the people to safeguard the environment and be responsible in making the world a more greener place.
