Governor's Cup Boxing ChampionshipM Chinglemba, K Manglemba enter elite men's 63.5 kg category semis

IMPHAL, Nov 8 : Moirangthem Chinglemba of MKBA-A and Keisham Manglemba of MBA boxed their way to the semi-finals of the elite men's 63.5 kg category in the ongoing Governor's Cup Boxing Championship at Khuman Lampak Boxing Arena.
Chinglemba outlasted UBA's Leivon Shongboi Kom in a quarterfinal this afternoon as Manglemba defeated MSBA's Pheiroijam Meibrajit in another quarterfinal bout.
Gurumayum Holen Sharma of UBA meanwhile sealed a walkover win against Veto Laishram of UYDC in the lone elite men's 67 kg category quarterfinal bout.
In the elite men's 54 kg category quarterfinal bouts staged today, Moirangthem Ranbir of PBA defeated Yuhlung Eraingam Chothe of UYDC and Pukhrambam Jackson defeated Heikrujam Bhimjit as Saikhom Victor of SRBA-B earned a walkover win over MSBA's Laishram Bilotson.
In the elite men's 51 kg category quarterfinal clashes, Biso Roungkhotinsan Koireng of MKBA-B got the better of L Bikramjit of MBa as Chongtham Bishwamitra of PKBA defeated Kh Danyson of MKBA-A.
Youth Men
The day also saw completion of the semi-final line up of the youth men's 50 kg category. Mashungchui Phungshok of MKBA-B defeated UBA's Nandeibam Babychand in the first quarterfinal bout of the 50 kg category before Thongam Nilbir of SRBA-A defeated N Paringanba, Md Mujahid of SRBA-B defeated Kh Sumit of PKBA and MKBA-A's defeated T Amarjit of MKBA-A in the following quarterfinal matches.
In the youth men's 55 kg category quarterfinal clashes, Phurailatpam Herison of PBA defeated H Nelson of MBA and PKBA's Samom Sheitamjit defeated MSBA's N Bicky as  Bilat Leivon Kom got a walkover win against STC Utlou's Ch Naoba.
In three 60 kg category quarterfinal bouts, Moirangthem Yaikhomba of MKBA-A defeated L Messi of UYDC, Yengkhom Bikram of SAI-STC Imphal defeated MKBA-B's L Yaikhomba and MSBA's Meisnam Ratan defeated PKBA's L Shairaj.
Junior Boys
In the junior boys' 54 kg quarterfinal bouts staged this morning, Shagolshem Jackyson of SRBA-A defeated PKBA's S Paikhomba, L Lanthoibaof MKBA-A earned a walkover win and SRBA-A's Kh Mangal defeated MKBA-B's Th Wanglen.
M Lanngamba of NBA and Th Khongnang Singh of SRBA-A also emerged victorious in the junior boys' 57 kg category quarterfinal bouts as Ngathingshang Valui of SRBA-A, Irom Tomba of PKBA andKsh Bluntchily of MBA secured wins in the junior boys' 60 kg category quarterfinal bouts.
In the 63 kg category quarterfinal bouts, K Thoungamba of UYDC defeated N Agu of MBA and PKBA's S Punshiba defeated MKBA-B's Ch Arbind to seal their semi-final tickets.
Junior Girls
The day also saw Singsa W Shimray of SRBA-A enter junior girls' 46 kg category semi-final by defeating NSA-A's Th Lucky and MKBA-A's M Khrismira Devi defeated M Alina of MBA in another quarterfinal bout.
Ngalangam Pheirei of MKBA-A and T Alena of SAI-STC also sealed junior girls' 48 kg category quarterfinal victories as Maria Pame of NSA-A defeated L Anisha of UYDC to book a place in the junior girls' 52 kg category semis.
