IMPHAL, Nov 6 : Yumnam Achouba starred with both the bat and ball as YWC, Langthabal defeated YESSDAN, Ningthoukhong by 205 runs at Khudeiband Lampak   to end their three-game Group A losing streak in the ongoing 5th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy.
YWC-L elected to bat first and erected a huge total of 261 runs in 34.4 overs losing all the wickets thanks to half centuries from Yumnam Achouba (73 off 62 balls; 8 fours and 1 six) and Yumnam Sushil (44-ball 50; 7 fours) and 53 extras conceded by YESSDAN bowlers.
For YESSDAN, P Sagar (3/26 in 4.4 overs) and H Nganba (3/40 in 7 overs) were leading bowlers who claimed three wickets apiece.
In reply, YESSDAN slumped to 56 all out in 19.4 overs  as Yumnam Achouba rattled their batting order on the way to to finish with a seven-for (7/7) in his spell of 6.4 overs.
YWC-L's Seram Bidyachandra also claimed three wickets (3/13 in 5 overs) as M Anderson 13 emerged the only batter to cross 10-run mark while 7 batters returned to the pavilion on ducks.
Achouba was eventually named player of the match.
In a Group B match staged at Lairenjam Public Ground, MPA, Thounaojam posted their second win in four matches by defeating YPHUC by 5 wickets.
YPHUC elected to bat first and posted 128/6 in 35 overs thanks to Irom Sunny's 77-ball 53 and MPA chased down the target in 27.3 overs with 5 wickets left to spare.
Th Chinglensana 35, Ch Muhinikanta 26 and Chongthom Sitaranjan 25 led the MPA chase.
For MPA, Th Chinglensana 3/18 and Ch Muhinikanta 2/25 shared five wickets as Birbal Irom 2/25 led the YPHUC bowling attack in a lost cause.
Chinglensana was declared player of the match.
Elsewhere at Thoubal Moijing Public Ground, PTRC, Patsoi Part IV registered a 6-wicket win over ESU, Wangkhei Palace Compound to extend their Group (C) stage winning run to two games in three matches.
ESU opted to bat first but were dismissed for 102 runs in 33.2 overs as PTRC's Laitonjam Jackson (4/20 in 7 overs) and N Ngambarel (3/15 in 6.2 overs) were at their finest form and PTRC fought their way to the target in 23.4 overs courtesy of Ngambarel's 55-ball 52.
N Ngambarel was eventually named player of the match.
In a Group D match staged at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, PTCC ended their two game losing run by defeating CYSA by 4 wickets.
PTCC bundled out toss winners CYSA for 92 runs in 23.5 overs riding on a five-for by Ningombam Lamnganba (5/30 in 6 overs) and Somobanta's three wicket haul (3/6 in 3.5 overs) before cruising to winning 94 in 19.4 overs courtesy of N Roberson 20, A Ronelson 15 and 34 extras.
For CYSA, W Aijak 28 and N Sanamacha 24 were the leading run getters.
Lamnganba was eventually adjudged player of the match.
