UVSA, MLVFA victorious in Ch Anandkumar Memorial Veteran Football tournament

IMPHAL, Nov 6 : UVSA and MLVFA emerged victorious in today's matches of the ongoing 1st State Level SDPO Chingtham Anandkumar Memorial 9-A-Side Football Tournament at SICO Ground, Lourembam Leikai.
In the fourth match of the tournament, UVSA sealed a 5-2 win over VFC-A as L Nillanjoy of VFC-A conceded an own goal in the 10th minute before Md Abdul Wahid (31', 47') and S Budha (40', 59) scored two goals apiece.
For VFC-A, Th Rupachandra (44', 60+2') scored both the goals.
Later in the 5th match of the tournament, MLVFA notched up a 4-1 win over FLAM despite losing Bidhu in the second half (50', second yellow card).
FLAM enjoyed an early lead thanks to Pahari but it proved to be their only goal in the game as Manaoba ran riot to net four goals (22', 58', 60', 60+1) alone and set up the 4-1 comeback win for MLVFA.
