AITA NR Tennis Tourney Bushan, Shanker march on; reach singles semis and doubles final

IMPHAL, Nov 6 : Top seeded tennis stars Haobam Bushan and Heishnam Shanker have reached men's singles semis and doubles final together in the AITA Men's 1 Lakh National Ranking Tennis Tournament being underway at Officers' Club Tennis courts in Lamphel.
In the singles quarterfinal matches staged today, Bushan outlasted Naveen Nishith of Karnataka 6-3, 6-3 to make it to the semi-final while Shanker edged out Rajeshwar Reddy Patlolla of Telangana 6-0, 2-6, 6-1.
Gagan RV of Tamil Nadu also won 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 against Anshuman Singh of UP to set up a semi-final date with Bushan. AP Ranjalkar of Maharashtra meanwhile won 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 against Neelam Devaharshith of Telangana to set up a semi-final date with Shanker.
Men's Doubles
In the men's doubles competition, Shanker and Bushan eased 6-0, 6-3 past Sachin Rana and Shivan Devam to make it to the final as S Anshuman and S Anshumat clinch a 6-1, 6-2 win over Saksham and Yasharath to complete the final line up.
