IMPHAL, Nov 5 : SSC, Porompat beat TCMDC, Thongju for fourth straight Group D victory as RCA ended Al-Ameen's three-game winning streak in an all-Lilong Group A match of the ongoing 5th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25.
At Khudeiband ground in Taothong, Al-Ameen opted to bat first but were bundled out for 67 runs in 19.2 overs by RCA who chased down the target in just 10.1 overs for their second straight win with 9 wickets left to spare.
RCA's bowling prowess was on display today as four of four bowlers found their names on the scoresheet sharing 9 wickets. Nawaz Sharif finished with the best figures of 3/12 as Md Irfan 2/9, Md Albas Khan 2/17 and Zuned 2/20 shared 6 wickets among them.
For Al-Ameen, Maibam Ashique 10 was the only double digit run scorer as 6 batters departed on ducks.
In reply, Md Anush 43 and Nawaz Sharif 11 not out racked up the first wicket partnership of 66 runs to set up the easy win for RCA.
Nawaz Sharif was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Lairenjam Public Ground, YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel returned to winning ways in Group B competition as they thumped RULE, Meitram by 85 runs for the second win in three matches.
Put in to bat first, YUCC faced a stiff opposition from RULE bowlers and were reduced to 114 all out in 23.2 overs with Kh Sanjaikar 3/17, S Indrakumar 3/12 and Ng Nongpoknganba 2/35 devastating their line up.
M Ricky who hit a 60-ball 55 was the standout batter for YUCC in their innings before Rajbir Khumanthem 5/1, Loitongbam Joychand 2/7 and Oinam Shresth 2/16 combined well to bowl out RULE for just 29 runs in 14 overs.
Rajbir was eventually adjudged player of the match.
The day also saw AKSDO seal their second Group C win in three games by devastating CDCC, Sagolband by 202 runs  at Thoubal Moijing Public Ground.
Put in to bat first, Gunachandra scored a 74-ball 62 while Saikhom Dinesh 39 and Md Ushmal Ali 26 gathered an unbeaten 70-run partnership for the 7th wicket to guide AKSDO to 236/6 in 35 overs. Misbaul Haque of CDCC finished with the best bowling figures of 2/55 in 7 overs.
Moirangthem Bishwonath 4/1 in 1.4 overs and Md Ushmal Ali 4/9 in 4 overs then ripped apart the CDCC line up to dismiss them for just 34 runs in 19.4 overs and earn the big win.
Ushmal Ali who starred with both the bat and ball deservingly fetched the player of the match trophy.
Meanwhile at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, SSC sealed a 10-run victory over TCMDC, Thongju Part II Pechu Lampak to stretch their winning run to 4 games.
After electing to bat first, SSC were bowled out for a meagre total of 116 runs in 22.4 overs despite Atif's fighting 30 as Vishonath Laishram 4/10 and Niraj Sarangthem 3/26 of TCMDC were at their best.
The total, however, proved too big for TCMDC as they slumped to 106 all out in 34.4 overs with Anish Lasker 3/25 and Ruhan Bm 2/18 of SCCC sharing 5 wickets between them as two others picked a wicket apiece.
Anish who added 17 runs and enjoyed a three wicket haul was adjudged player of the match.
