Killer cop suspended

The Police Constable who allegedly shot dead Sub-Inspector Md Sahajahan at Jiribam on November 2 has been put under suspension. An order issued by the Superintendent of Police, Jiribam yesterday said the Constable named Akoijam Bikram Singh of reserve Line has been suspended and disciplinary proceedings against him have been initiated. During the period of suspension, he shall be stationed at the Headquarters of the Reserve Line Jiribam District Police and he shall not leave the headquarters without obtaining prior permission of the SP Jiribam, it said.
