Thokchom Supriya wins silver at Boxing Worlds, MABA greets

IMPHAL, Nov 5 : The Manipur Amateur Boxing Association (MABA) congratulated Thokchom Supriya on winning  a silver medal at the recently concluded U-19 World Boxing Championship to help India amass 4 gold, 8 silver and 5 bronze medals.
The championship was held from October 26 to November 2 at Pueblo Convention Centre, Colorado, USA by World Boxing Association. Supriya, from Naranseina in Bishnupur district, competed in the 54 kg category in the championship, said MABA.
She was also a silver medallist in the ASBC Asian Boxing Championship held at Amman in Jordan in 2022, added MABA while extending best wishes to the promising State boxer.
