AT man arrested

IMPHAL, Nov 4: One member of the Arambai Tenggol identified as Khullem Sanjeep alias Bhim (30) s/o late Kh Tomba of Naoremthong DC Road  was arrested on November 3 for his involvement in assaulting two persons from Senapati in the early hours of October 31 at Lamsang.
Khullem Sanjeep alias Bhim has been remanded in police custody after he was produced before a Court.
Earlier, the Naga People’s Organisation (NPO), Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA) and the Senapati District Women’s Association (SDWA) said that V Hrangao Blesson Poumai s/o Veino from Kodom Khullen village and Dalou Poumai s/o Hrinii of Liyai Khullen village were severely assaulted by some members of AT (Unit 18) in the wee hours of October 31.
ANSAM even alleged that Rs 61,400 were extorted by the AT members from the two men at gunpoint.
