Manipur bag third gold at U-14 NSG Swimming

IMPHAL, Nov 27 : Manipur won their third gold and fourth medal in the 68th National School Games Swimming for U-14 boys being underway in Rajkot, Gujarat.
Manipur swelled their gold medal tally today as the team of Leishangthem Bishorjit, Nongmaithem Dhananjoy Meitei, David Sapam and Konthoujam Athoiba topped the 4x100 m medley relay event today.
The relay team took best 4: 32.73 (4 minutes 32.73 seconds) to win the top honour.
Till yesterday, Laitonjam Lanchenba had secured two gold medals while Leishangthem Bishorjit had won a bronze medal.
Lanchenba had his first gold in the 200 m individual medley competition with a time of 2:21.08 (2 minutes 21.08 seconds) and the second gold medal in the 200 m butterfly stroke with a time of 2:21.04.
Leishangthem Bishorjit meanwhile settled for the bronze medal in the 100 m backstroke competition with a time of 1:18.9.
